The Verison Heritage on Hilton Head Island

This PGA tournament celebrates the best in golf on South Carolina's number one rated course, Harbour Town Golf Links. With an unforgettable final fairway, stretching from salt marshes to the renowned 18th hole at the Harbour Town Lighthouse, every tournament player and golf player alike will remember its heritage.
Similar to the legacy of The Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island's annual PGA TOUR stop began in 1969 as the Heritage Classic. In 1987, MCI Communications Corporation signed as the title sponsor, the tournament became known as the Verison Heritage.
With more than three rich decades of history, this event's champions have combined for 375 PGA TOUR victories, including 66 major championships. The purse increased from $100,000 in 1969 to $4.5 million this year.
The 38th annual Verison Heritage is scheduled for April 10-16, 2006, at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Mondays with the Maestra

Mondays with the Maestra, a Lecture/Meet the Artists event with Hilton Head Orchestra’s Maestra, Mary Woodmansee Green, on will be held Monday, May 1 at 1:30 PM at the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church. Concertmaster and soloist Terry Moore will be featured. Following the lecture, those attending are invited to the 3:00 to 5:30 PM HH Orchestra Final Rehearsal in the Sanctuary of the church. Kick-off the holidays in style with Taste of the Season! Now in it’s 17th year and bigger and better than ever.
